Union of Journalists from Uzbekistan Signs MOU with Press Club of India

New Delhi, India – In a landmark event held at the Press Club of India, the Union of Journalists from Uzbekistan today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Press Club of India. The MOU was signed by Kholmurod Salimov, the Acting Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, and Gautam Lahiri, President of the Press Club of India.
His Excellency Sardar Rustombaev, the Uzbekistan Ambassador to India, graced the occasion with his presence. The MOU aims to promote collaboration and foster stronger ties between the journalistic communities of the two countries.
The event also featured the award ceremony of the Golden Pencil National Award, which was presented for the first time to an Indian journalist, Dipanjan Roy Chaudhary. This award recognizes outstanding contributions to journalism and highlights the commitment to excellence shared by both nations.
In his address, His Excellency Sardar Rustombaev emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, "India is a friend, and we are here to further strengthen our relationship. This MOU marks a significant step towards enhancing cooperation and mutual understanding between our journalists."
