New Kia Sonet crosses 1 lakh sales in 2024, reflecting

strong market demand

Petrol variants constitute 76% of total sales, while diesel variants comprise 24%
Automatic and intelligent manual transmissions contribute to 34% of total sales
Variants equipped with a sunroof contribute to 79% of total sales

New Delhi: Kia, a leading premium carmaker, continues to set
benchmarks with its New Sonet. Within just 11 months of its launch in January 2024, the New
Sonet has crossed an impressive milestone of 1 lakh sales. With a starting price of 7.99 Lakh
(ex-showroom), it has become a preferred choice for modern compact SUV buyers with close to
10,000 sales each month.
Speaking on the milestone, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, Sr. VP and Head of Sales and Marketing

The extensive lineup of 22 variants, featuring six different powertrain options, has successfully
attracted a broader range of buyers. Gasoline engines remain the preferred choice, with 76% of
customers opting for them, while the remaining 24% selected the 1.5L diesel-powered SUVs.
Automatic and intelligent manual transmissions account for 34% of total sales, underscoring the
growing demand for automatic transmission options. Additionally, the variants equipped with
sunroofs accounted for 79% of overall sales.
The New Kia Sonet is equipped with 15 Robust standard Safety features, 10 ADAS Level1
features and 70+ connected car features. The New Sonet also offers the lowest maintenance
cost in the segment, which is 16% and 14% lower than the segment average for Petrol and
Diesel variants, respectively. It is available in five interior colour options and eight Monotone,
two Dual tone and one Matte Finish exterior color option.
