TRAINING ON MATERNAL AND NEONATAL EMERGENCIES

TRAINING PROPGIMS conducted second round of training for FIRST REFERRAL UNIT DOCTOR (PHCs, CHCs AND PEROPHERAL DOCTORS) under Regional Resource Training center training Programme on 3rd and 4th oct 2023. Under this programme, the medical professionals posted in FRU, looking after pregnant mothers and babies were trained in maternal & neonatal emergency, complications like PPH, anemia & hypertension.  These are major cause of mortality in the mother.

In Pediatrics they were trained about management of new born at birth, their stabilization and proper referral this is important for their timely management. Hands on skill based training was given to the participants. The aim of this workshop was to prevent maternal and neonatal mortality.

The event was organized by Depts of Obstetrics and Gynecology AND Pediatrics of GIMS. It was inaugurated by director of GIMS Dr. (BRIG) Rakesh Gupta.  The Resourse faculties were  Dr. Ritu Sharma, Dr. Pinky Mishra, Dr. Ruchi Verma, Dr. Archana Gupta,  and Dr. Ankita Pal trainers from Gynecology Department while Dr. Anita Kumari, Dr. Ruchika Bhavnagar, Dr. Sujaya Mukopadhyay, Dr. Sanju Yadav, Dr. Rajiv Singh And Dr. Meetu Singh were Pediatric Trainers RRTC Coordinator Dr. Anjali Vashishth were also Present. The Participants were from District Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahar and Baghpat, who highly appreciated the workshop

The event concluded today. The participants appreciated the efforts. The Director Sir also rettriated that more such training programs will be held frequently.
