Rashmi Kumari Shines at 38th Noida Flower Show 2026
Noida: The 38th edition of the Noida Flower Show 2026, organized by the Floriculture Society Noida in association with the Noida Authority, witnessed a spectacular celebration of floral artistry and environmental awareness. This year’s theme flower was “Ranunculus”, admired for its layered petals and vibrant colours, while the overall show theme was inspired by the sacred town of Kedarnath, symbolizing spirituality, natural beauty, and Himalayan serenity.

Among the standout achievers was horticulturist Rashmi Kumari, a consistent award winner for the past nine years. She once again brought laurels by securing top honors in multiple categories, including tray garden landscape, succulent tray garden, terrarium creations, hanging baskets of foliage and flowering plants, and water garden displays.

The tray garden landscapes displayed thoughtful planning and creative miniature designs. The succulent tray garden featured drought-resistant plants with vibrant textures, while the terrariums impressed with their eco-friendly, self-sustaining appeal. Hanging baskets beautifully combined foliage and seasonal blooms, highlighting vertical gardening for urban spaces, and the water garden added a serene, natural touch.
Beyond competitions, she is widely respected as a horticulturist and judge at various prestigious garden and flower shows. Her contributions extend to community garden development in residential societies, promoting greener living environments. Through workshops for children and awareness sessions on urban and balcony gardening, she continues to inspire city residents to embrace sustainable gardening practices.
She shared that gardening acts as a powerful stress buster in today’s fast-paced urban life. According to her, spending time with plants, nurturing saplings, and watching them grow brings inner peace and emotional balance. In the midst of hectic schedules and screen-dominated routines, a small green corner at home can provide relaxation and mental rejuvenation. She believes that even a few minutes spent watering plants or tending to a garden can refresh the mind, reduce anxiety, and restore positivity, making gardening not just a hobby but a form of natural therapy for city dwellers.
The impressive series of awards at the Flower Show stands as a testament to her dedication, creativity, and unwavering passion for horticulture. Her accomplishments go beyond personal success, inspiring others and strengthening the ongoing movement toward sustainable living and responsible environmental care.
