Fortis Noida Hosts Health Carnival to Promote Preventive Healthcare Awareness; Draws Participation from 450 Children

Noida: Recognising the importance of instilling health awareness early in life, Fortis Hospital Noida organised a Health Carnival and Competition to introduce children to preventive healthcare through engaging, activity-based learning. The initiative aimed to nurture healthy habits at a formative stage, helping children build lasting awareness and supporting improved health outcomes over time. Centered on the theme "Health with Science, "the initiative was thoughtfully curated for children aged 5-12 years, blending creative activities with expert-led interactions to foster awareness of healthy habits and the importance of timely preventive action. By combining experiential learning with scientific understanding, it aimed to build a strong foundation for lifelong health and well-being.

The event featured a vibrant Competition Zone that saw participation from over 350 families, including 450 children across activities such as colouring and poster-making, fine arts, slogan. writing, and a healthy recipe contest focused on fireless cooking. With a total prize pool of INR 51,000, the entries were evaluated by a distinguished panel of four eminent school principals, ensuring a fair and credible assessment. Complementing this was an engaging Fun Zone, which included a magic show and interactive sessions for children, creating an enjoyable environment that encouraged active participation while reinforcing key health and wellness messages.

As part of the initiative, expert sessions were conducted by Dr. Ankit Prasad, Consultant -Paediatrics and Dr. Ashish Chidanand Dodmani, Consultant - Paediatrics, Fortis Hospital Noida. The sessions focused on preventive healthcare, wellness and the importance of adopting healthy habits at an early age. Dedicated consultation zones in ophthalmology, dental care and dietetics were also set up, providing children and parents access to specialist guidance.
